Do you have a whole lot of ripe bananas at home you're wondering what to do with in a hurry?? My best tip for this is to pop them in the freezer and save them for when you have a few minutes to blend up this outrageously yummy dessert. My recipe uses 2 bananas but you can use as many as you have in the freezer.
Banana Ice Cream
make about 6 small 'paddle pops' and some leftover to lick the bowl after!
2 frozen bananas
2 tblsp plain greek or unflavoured yogurt (I prefer the Jalna brand)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp quality vanilla essence or powder
a little warm water
Slice off the skin from your frozen bananas and cut into cubes. Place them all in your blender and add a generous splash of warm water, just enough to help with blending. Add your yogurt and spice. Blend. You can eat straight away as a frozen yogurt, or pour into paddle pop moulds and put in the freezer. Wait for a good few hours and enjoy frozen like my lad does...
